Keep reading for how to make authentic Australian sausage rolls, which make for a fantastic appetizer for your next dinner party.

Ingredients
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons minced fresh chives or 2 teaspoons dried chives
2 teaspoons minced fresh basil or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon paprika, divided
1-1/4 pounds bulk pork sausage
1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
Instructions
1 Combine the ingredients
2 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine the first six ingredients and 3/4 teaspoon of the paprika. Add the sausage and mix lightly but thoroughly.
3 Assemble the rolls
4 On a lightly floured surface, roll each pastry sheet into an 11x10 1/2-inch rectangle. Cut each sheet lengthwise into three strips. Spread 1/2 cup of the sausage mixture lengthwise down the center of each strip. Fold the sides over the filling, pinching the edges to seal. Cut each log into six pieces.
5 Place on a rack in a 15x10x1-inch pan, seam side down. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon paprika. Bake until golden brown and the sausage is no longer pink, for 20 to 25 minutes.
