Broccoli Casserole
35 min8 servings

This classic cheesy broccoli casserole recipe is a timeless family favorite. It requires only five ingredients and 15 minutes of prep time for a quick and easy dinner.

Ingredients
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 cup sour cream
1-1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 can (6 ounces) french-fried onions, divided
2 packages (16 ounces each) frozen broccoli florets, thawed
Instructions
1 Prepare the sauce
2 Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the can of cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheese and 1-1/4 cups of French-fried onions. Heat through, stirring until blended, four to five minutes.
3 Add the broccoli to the mixture and stir until it is evenly coated in the sauce. Transfer to a greased, 2-quart baking dish.
4 Bake until bubbly
5 Bake, uncovered, until bubbly, 25 to 30 minutes, then sprinkle the broccoli casserole with the remaining cheese and French-fried onions. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted, 10 to 15 minutes. Editor's Tip: We suggest letting this broccoli cheddar casserole stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving, as the casserole will thicken slightly as it cools. The same rule applies to many of our mom's best casserole recipes.
