Salty, sweet and packed with fragrant spices, this recipe for honey baked ham is perfect for the most special of occasions, and it can easily feed a crowd!

Ingredients
1 spiral-sliced fully cooked bone-in ham (8 to 10 pounds)
1 cup water
3/4 cup honey, divided
GLAZE:
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
1 Cook the ham
2 Place the ham and water in a 7-quart slow cooker. Brush the ham with 1/2 cup honey. Cook on low, with the lid on, until the temperature in the center of the ham reaches 140°F. This may take four to five hours, depending on the size of the ham and its internal temperature when you started.
3 Glaze the ham
4 Preheat the broiler. In a bowl, stir together the sugar, cinnamon, allspice, pepper, paprika, ginger, nutmeg, mustard, five-spice powder and cloves. Carefully transfer the ham to a broiler-safe shallow roasting pan, cut side down. Brush the ham with the remaining 1/4 cup honey, and sprinkle evenly with the glaze mixture, pressing it into the ham so that it sticks.
5 Broil the ham 6 to 8 inches from the heating element until the sugar is melted and the coating is nicely browned, three to five minutes. Watch the ham carefully, turning it as needed to prevent any parts from cooking too quickly.
6 Take a rest
7 Tent the ham with foil, and let it hang out until the glaze hardens, about 30 minutes.
