Pork Strips
Pork Strips
15 min8 servings

The secret to our juicy grilled pork strips is lemon-lime soda, which caramelizes as the meat cooks.

Ingredients
5 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons white vinegar
3 tablespoons chili sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cans (12 ounces each) lemon-lime soda
2 pounds pork tenderloin, cut lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips
Instructions
1 Marinate the pork
2 In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, ketchup, white vinegar, chili sauce, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic and lemon-lime soda. Place the pork in a heavy resealable plastic bag and add the marinade. Seal the bag and turn to coat the pork. Refrigerate it overnight.
3 Grill the pork
4 Drain and discard the marinade. Thread the pork onto metal or soaked wooden skewers. Grill the skewers over hot heat for 12 minutes, turning once. Editor's Tip: Soaking the wooden skewers is key to preventing them from burning on the grill. Soak them in water for at least 20 minutes and up to two hours before grilling.
