Ingredients
4 chicken thighs (boneless and skinless (1.25 lb.) $4.35*)
¼ cup lime juice ($0.18**)
3 Tbsp honey ($0.47***)
1 Tbsp vegetable oil ($0.04)
1 tsp garlic powder ($0.06)
1 tsp paprika ($0.08)
1 tsp ground cumin ($0.09)
½ tsp chili powder ($0.03)
½ tsp dried oregano ($0.17)
½ tsp salt ($0.02)
¼ tsp black pepper (freshly cracked, $0.04)
2 Tbsp fresh cilantro (minced, $0.20)
Instructions
1 Preheat the grill to 375°F. Gather and prepare all ingredients.
2 Marinate the chicken
3 Using a ziplock bag or bowl, add the chicken thighs, lime juice, honey, vegetable oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, chili powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Seal the bag and gently massage it to ensure the thighs are evenly coated. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
4 Grill the chicken
5 Once the grill is hot, add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes. Then, using tongs, flip the chicken and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
6 Once the chicken is finished cooking on the grill, place the thighs on a serving platter or plates and sprinkle with cilantro.
