Whip up a classic pimento cheese ball with cream cheese, sharp cheddar and tangy pimentos for an easy and delicious appetizer.
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, chopped
1 jar (2 ounces) diced pimientos, drained
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Assorted crackers
Minced fresh parsley, optional
Instructions
1Mix the ingredients
2In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed until it becomes light and fluffy, about one to two minutes. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, drained pimentos, melted butter and Worcestershire sauce, and mix on low speed until everything is fully combined and smooth.
3Shape and chill the cheeseball
4Using your hands or a spatula, shape the mixture into a ball or press it firmly into a small bowl with a smooth top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour, or until firm. About 15 minutes before serving, remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator to soften slightly. Roll it in minced fresh parsley for extra flavor and color if desired. Serve with assorted crackers or vegetable sticks.
