A whole wheel of Brie baked to oozy perfection with a cranberry-apple spice mixture sounds too good to be true. Lucky for you, baked Brie with apples is real, and this recipe will make it happen.
Instructions
1
Cook the apple mixture
2
Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the apple, cranberries, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and give everything a good stir. Cook and stir the mixture until the apples are tender, five to seven minutes.
3
Cut the Brie in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a 9-inch pie plate.
4
Assemble the Brie with apples
5
Spoon half of the apple mixture on the Brie’s bottom half. Replace the Brie’s top, and spoon on the remaining apple mixture.
6
Bake the Brie
7
Bake, uncovered, until the cheese begins to melt, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve it warm with crackers.
