Although you can make this cranberry dip a day ahead, it’s also an easy recipe to whip up in less than 15 minutes, so it’s perfect if hungry guests drop by without warning.
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 can (14 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Assorted crackers
Instructions
1Mix the base
2In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, honey and cinnamon until smooth. Spread it with a spatula over the base of a shallow bowl or pie plate, creating a raised lip around the edge so the juices run inward. Editor’s Tip: If the cheese mixture is too stiff to work by hand with a fork, either let it come fully up to room temperature or use a hand mixer on a low setting.
3Top it with cranberry sauce
4Top the cream cheese mixture evenly with a layer of cranberry sauce. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, then sprinkle with chopped almonds just before serving with crackers.
