Apple Cider Shrub Mocktail Recipe
8 servings

This Apple Cider Shrub Mocktail is the only drink you need this holiday season! It's tangy, fruity, and great for non-alcoholic & boozy options.

Ingredients
¼ cup granulated sugar ($0.08)
¼ cup apple cider vinegar ($0.14)
¼ cup apple cider* ($0.11)
1 small apple, sliced (or ½ a large apple), to fill the jar to the top ($0.62)
1 can sparkling water** ($0.48)
fresh rosemary, for garnish*** ($0.22)
Instructions
1 To make the shrub, add granulated sugar to a small, sterilized 6 oz mason jar.
2 Then, pour apple cider vinegar on top.
3 Finally, pour in the apple cider (or apple juice). You can stop here and skip to step 5 if you don't have any fresh apples on hand.
4 If using, add thinly sliced apples to the jar until it's full, but not overflowing. The marinated apples add flavor but also make a nice garnish!
5 Screw the lid on and shake until the sugar dissolves.
6 Let the mixture sit in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
7 To make two apple mocktails, add 1 oz prepared apple shrub to each glass over ice. Top them off with soda water and garnish with fresh rosemary (or your garnish of choice!).
