This easy Apple Flautas recipe makes crispy, golden rolls in the air fryer with a warm cinnamon-apple filling that’s perfect for dessert, snacking, or breakfast.

Ingredients
2 Granny Smith apples (peeled and diced, (medium-sized, 280g, 2 ½ cups once diced) $1.90*)
3 Tbsp brown sugar ($0.20)
1 tsp ground cinnamon ($0.05)
1 tsp lemon juice ($0.03)
⅛ tsp salt ($0.01)
1 tsp cornstarch ($0.01)
2 Tbsp water ($0.00)
6 small flour tortillas (6-inch, $0.11)
non-stick cooking spray ($0.02)
Instructions
1 Gather all ingredients, then peel and dice the apples into small cubes.**
2 Make the filling
3 In a medium skillet over medium heat combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally for 5-6 minutes until the apples start to soften.
4 In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Pour the slurry into the apple mixture and cook for 1–2 minutes until thick and glossy. Remove from heat and let mixture cool slightly.
5 Spoon a line of the apple filling down the center of each tortilla. Roll tightly and place seam-side down.
6 Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Spray the basket with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange the flautas in a single layer (work in batches if needed), seam-side down. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp and golden brown.
7 Let the flautas cool slightly before serving. You can enjoy them as is, or roll them in cinnamon-sugar while they’re still warm for an extra treat.***
