Christmas tree brownies use a brownie mix and canned frosting for a fast, kid-friendly treat. Cut, tint, top with sprinkles, and add candy cane or pretzel pieces.
Ingredients
1 package (16.3 ounces) brownie mix
1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting
3 to 4 drops green food coloring
Red, white and green sprinkles
Mini candy canes and/or stick pretzels
Instructions
1Bake and cut the brownies
2Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Once baked, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Use a cookie cutter or knife to cut the brownies into 16 triangles.
3Frost and decorate the trees
4Transfer the frosting to a large bowl; tint with green food coloring. Pipe or spread the frosting on cooled brownie triangles. Top with sprinkles. Press a piece of mini candy cane or stick a pretzel into each bottom to create a tree trunk.
