Sloppy Joe Pasta
Sloppy Joe Pasta
30 min6 servings

Our sloppy joe pasta combines two things families love: sloppy joe flavor and pasta. This dish is loaded with savory goodness and hearty enough to be a full meal, as it's packed with protein, thanks to the ground beef and cottage cheese. Dig in!

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 envelope sloppy joe mix
1 cup water
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 package (7 ounces) small shell pasta, cooked and drained
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1 Cook the meat
2 In a Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it's no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain the liquid from the pan.
3 Add the flavorings and pasta
4 Stir in the sloppy joe mix, water, tomato sauce and tomato paste, and heat them through. Remove the Dutch oven from the heat and stir in the cooked pasta.
5 Fill the baking dish
6 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spoon half the mixture into a greased 2-1/2-quart baking dish. Top that with cottage cheese, then add the remaining pasta mixture. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top.
7 Bake the casserole
8 Bake the dish, uncovered, for 30 to 35 minutes or until the filling is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted.
