Make creamy Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes with just a few simple ingredients. A fuss-free side that saves time and turns out perfectly every time.

Ingredients
4 lbs. russet potatoes (peeled, large cubes (11 small potatoes, 1814g) $3.52*)
6 cups water ($0.00)
3 tsp salt (divided ($0.12))
½ tsp black pepper (freshly cracked, $0.08)
6 Tbsp butter (softened, $0.69)
½ cup milk (warmed, (4 oz) $0.11**)
Instructions
1 Gather and prepare all ingredients.
2 Peel the potatoes and cut them into large cubes.
3 Place them in the Instant Pot, cover them with 6 cups of water, and sprinkle in 2 teaspoons of salt.
4 Seal the valve on the Instant Pot and turn it on pressure cook.
5 Set the timer for 12 minutes. It will take about 30 minutes to come to pressure, then cook the potatoes for 12 minutes.
6 Release the valve
7 After the timer goes off, turn off the Instant Pot and, using a wooden spoon or other utensil, carefully release the valve. Make sure not to burn yourself. Keep releasing until the steam has subsided.
8 Open the lid and, using oven mitts, grab the container and drain the potatoes in a colander.
9 Return the potatoes to the container and add the remaining salt, pepper, butter, and slowly add the milk.***
10 Using a potato masher, gently mash the potatoes until they reach your desired consistency. Do not over-mash, or they will get gummy.
