Air-Fryer French Toast Sticks
Air-Fryer French Toast Sticks
10 min1 servings

Our air-fryer French toast sticks are simple to prep and freeze, and even easier to cook in the air fryer when the moment strikes.

Ingredients
6 slices day-old Texas toast
4 large eggs
1 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups crushed cornflakes, optional
Confectioners' sugar, optional
Maple syrup
Instructions
1 Slice the bread
2 With a sharp serrated knife, slice each piece of bread into thirds. Arrange the bread evenly in an ungreased 13x9-inch baking dish.
3 Create the custard
4 In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour evenly over the bread in the baking dish. Let soak for two minutes, turning bread once in dish.
5 Coat in cornflakes
6 If desired, place the cornflake crumbs in a small bowl. Add bread pieces, one at a time, turning to coat in crumbs on all sides.
7 Place the sticks in a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Freeze the French toast sticks until they’re firm, about 45 minutes.
8 Store the sticks
9 Transfer the frozen sticks to an airtight freezer container or freezer-safe bag. Keep them in the freezer until you’re ready to cook a few of them up in the air fryer.
10 Preheat the air fryer
11 Preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Place the desired number of French toast sticks on a greased tray in the air-fryer basket.
12 Cook and serve
13 Cook the French toast sticks for three minutes. Turn the sticks over, and cook them until they’re golden brown, two to three minutes longer. Sprinkle the French toast sticks with confectioners' sugar if desired, and serve with maple syrup.
